Letter to The Day-William Weber

I am supporting Anne Santoro for the 37th House District because it’s refreshing to have a candidate who is both an experienced, knowledgeable professional and also a genuinely principled individual.

In a political landscape dominated by party scripts and recycled talking points, Anne stands on her own. During my time as chairman of the East Lyme Finance Committee, Anne served alongside me and frequently offered thoughtful counterpoints to my positions, just as she did as Deputy First Selectman.

Our government needs leaders with original ideas, the intelligence to articulate them and the conviction to stand by them, not party rubber stamps.
