
Meet Anne
Anne's public service and past legal work have prepared her well for the legislature.
A resident of East Lyme since 1989, Anne served as the town’s Deputy First Selectman (2021-2023) and a member of its Board of Finance (2017-2021). Anne is an attorney who practiced municipal and business law.
As Deputy, Anne took on challenging leadership roles, including Chair of an ARPA Subcommittee to determine the distribution of Covid relief funding, as well as Co-Chair of a Short-Term Rental Committee that produced comprehensive policy recommendations.
While on Finance, Anne took on leading roles to produce a written town purchasing policy and to review the design and budget for the town’s public safety building.
Her work as an attorney includes having served as Counsel for the City of Milford and the Town of Greenwich.
She also worked at the Smithsonian, negotiating and writing large scale contracts, and later served as Chair of the Intellectual Property Section of the Connecticut Bar Association.
Anne is a graduate of Stanford University in California and the University of Connecticut School of Law. She and her husband Fred settled in East Lyme where they raised their family and Fred opened his pediatric practice. Their two children graduated from the East Lyme school system and are now enjoying careers in law and finance, respectively.
