To the Editor:
14 years ago we moved into our home in the wonderful town of East Lyme. When we were looking for a house for our growing family, we wanted a town that was safe, had an excellent school system and relatively low property taxes. East Lyme checked all those boxes for us and we jumped on the opportunity to live there when our home came on the market. Now in 2025, I cannot say that I feel the same way about my town as I did previously. Public safety scandals not withstanding, I know that our town is heading in the wrong direction.
In 2021 I was elected to our town’s Planning Commission as an Alternate and have served alongside many smart, caring and hard working individuals (on both sides). Anne Santoro is one of those people. I have had the pleasure to witness Anne in action both on our Board of Selectmen and now managing her and our slate’s current campaign. Anne is a force to be reckoned with; she brings an energy and aura of confidence when she’s in the room. Anne Santoro and her strong leadership is what the town of East Lyme needs right now, more than ever. She wants what’s best for our unique town and will work hard across the aisle, putting politics aside, to get East Lyme heading in the right direction. For me, actions speak louder than words. I have seen the hard work Anne has put into her campaign, previously as Deputy First Selectman, and earlier as a member of the Board of Finance. I am confident Anne will work tirelessly to bring much needed positive change to our town alongside the amazing slate of candidates we have put together.
Please, won’t you join me in casting a vote for Anne Santoro, for a better East Lyme?
